Course Overview

The Institute's Professional Legal Studies Course (PLSC) is a unique competency based skills training programme that prepares trainees for legal practice, and meets the needs of the legal profession in New Zealand.

It is designed to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge required for practice in New Zealand, and is taught by experienced and well-qualified New Zealand practitioners.

The course provides quality training in accordance with sound educational principles and prepares trainees for practice, irrespective of the area of law in which they will be engaged.

The course is offered in two formats:
