Bernadette is based in the Auckland office and joined IPLS in 1996 as a fulltime legal practice Instructor. She has worked for Bell Gully in Auckland in their commercial property team as well as for a smaller firm in general practice focusing on general company, commercial and property law. She keeps up with professional practice by working as a consultant for a law firm.

In 2005, Bernadette was appointed National Director of the Institute.
