Clare is an Otago law graduate, admitted to the bar in 1991. She was previously a commercial & property law partner at Anderson Lloyd in Dunedin, but since 2001 has combined periods of time instructing for the Institute, with parenting, and with tutoring at the University of Otago Law Faculty.
