Privacy
You authorise disclosure of your personal information on the understanding that IPLS will observe the general conditions governing the release of information, as set out in the Privacy Act 1993. You may see any information held about you and amend any errors in that information. To do so, contact the National Director. IPLS collects and stores information from this form to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Education (student statistical returns), New Zealand Qualifications Authority (Record of Learning registration and Unit Standard outcomes), Tertiary Education Commission (funding returns), Industry Training Organisations (funding and academic outcomes), Ministry of Social Development (confirmation of enrolment and academic outcomes), Inland Revenue Department (student loan interest rebate), Department of Immigration (if you are not a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident) and agencies who support particular trainees through scholarships and prizes, payment of fees or other awards. The information requested on this form is also used to manage internal administrative processes, and for internal reporting. Information about trainees may be supplied to, and sought from, the New Zealand Law Society (NZLS) and other educational institutions for the purpose of verifying academic records. In addition, when required by law, IPLS releases information to Government agencies such as the New Zealand Police, Department of Justice, Ministry of Social Development, and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).
Fees
Fees You undertake to pay all fees as they become due and to meet any late fees and collection charges associated with debt recovery. Fees are due prior to the commencement of the course and are non-refundable in some circumstances. See the IPLS Transfer, Withdrawal and Refund Policy for further information.
Regulations and Policies
You have read, understood, and will comply with, the regulations and IPLS published policies as set out on the IPLS website www.ipls.org.nz that are in force during the time you attend the course. You understand IPLS does not tolerate plagiarism, unacceptable copying or other dishonest conduct from trainees on the IPLS course. When requested, IPLS is required to notify the NZLS of any trainee who has engaged in conduct in contravention of the IPLS Plagiarism Unacceptable Copying and Other Dishonest Conduct Policy.
