Fixed-Term Part-Time Opportunity – Entity Review Officer

Southpac Group is a trust and corporate services provider based in Tauranga, with affiliate offices in the Cook Islands and Nevis. We have been establishing and administering trusts, companies and foundations for high-net-worth individuals from all over the world since 1982. We are changing our client management system this year and as part of this process need to review records for all of our client entities to prepare them for migration to the new system.
We are looking to take on a part-time Entity Review Officer to assist with this project for an initial fixed term of 3 months, with potential for this to be extended further. We need someone with a sound legal understanding, keen eye for detail and good IT literacy and database skills who can quickly process large volumes of data to pick out what is relevant. The role would be a great fit for someone who is currently studying profs and is looking for some paid part-time work to build up their legal experience.
The role is based in our Tauranga office and requires a commitment of 20 hours per week (timing negotiable). Full training and supervision will be provided.
While there are no guarantees of a permanent role further down the line, we work within a niche industry where those with relevant experience are hard to find, and this project will provide some excellent exposure to the kind of work we do. We also like to recruit from within: 2 of our 5 in-house lawyers started their careers with Southpac in other roles.
