Junior Litigation Lawyer | Wellington
We are a small litigation firm of two lawyers based in Wellington. We are looking for a fulltime junior lawyer, between 0-2 years PQE to join our team. Our work is focused on public law claims for damages and judicial review (particularly for people in detention), privacy, parole, discrimination and civil claims for abuse in care.
You must have done professionals and be admitted to the bar (or be eligible for admission). We are looking for good grades and some experience working with vulnerable people – volunteering at community law or practical clinics is a plus. You’ll have great people skills, be good on the phone and able to deal with vulnerable people and difficult material. You’ll be proficient with the Microsoft suite, document management tools or be a quick learner for new software. A full driver’s license is preferred as the role involves some travel. You’ll need some te reo or, at the very least, good pronunciation of te reo māori.
